S35VN Stainless TRAK XL

After nearly a year of developing, testing, and refining different variations, we’re incredibly excited to introduce our newest model: The TRAK XL.

The patent pending, TRAK XL, is a compact and lightweight everyday carry knife featuring our secure grip design.  TRAK XL is proudly designed and handcrafted in the USA.  When paired with our versatile, quick access sheath system, this handy, minimal design will serve you well in any of your daily adventures.

The original concept for our TRAK design, was to function as a backup or "last ditch" knife for scuba divers caught in fishing line. We chose titanium because it was the perfect material for the job.  These design features also happen to make it the perfect knife for runners, hikers, camping, fishing or simply anyone looking for a personal, compact utility knife, which can be carried daily, securely.

Following the success of our TRAK design, we soon started working on our next model.  Based on feedback received from customers, we knew  this new model had to share the same great features as the original design (lightweight, rustproof, compact, secure, and easy to carry), but at the same time stand out on its own.  We wanted something slightly bigger and with a larger cutting edge.  We also wanted to improve the sheath system so that it could be mounted in multiple positions depending on desired use.

Secure Grip Retention System:

What makes the TRAK XL so unique is our Secure Grip Retention System. By placing your index and middle finger in the retention opening, the remaining fingers wrap around the knife securely in their own finger holds. This gives you a very secure, non-slip grip, making TRAK nearly impossible to drop or slip out of your hands.  Wet or dry, you can have confidence when holding the TRAK XL.

S35VN Stainless Model:

S35VN Stainless Steel is made in the USA by Crucible Industries specifically for specialized cutlery and long wearing industrial machine parts. Known for being 15-20% tougher than its predecessor and four times tougher than 440C and 154CM cutlery steel. S35VN is the perfect stainless steel for those looking for a knife edge that can withstand repeated usage with minimal wear and less frequent sharpening. S35VN does require heat treat, which will be done by an experienced HT facility.

Carry Options:

Neck Sheath:

All of the TRAK XL models come with a thermoplastic Kydex sheath. This material (commonly found in aircraft bulkheads), is the standard sheath material for fixed blade knives.  Kydex is waterproof, lightweight, retains its shape better than leather, and can last a lifetime.

The TRAK XL sheath features two eyelets at top, which allow you to attach the included stainless steel ball chain.  You can also attach TRAK to a backpack, runner's arm band, belt, or anywhere you need it handy. 

Belt Clip:

By attaching the optional belt clip & hardware, you can convert your neck sheath to be worn on a belt, backpack straps, or other gear.
